Problems updating from Version 2.6 to 3.1
I have downloaded Version 3.1 a few times but whenever I go into Control Panel/Programs/Programs and Features Version 2.6 of Sweet Home 3D is the only one showing. I cannot understand why this is happening, so I was considering removing version 2.6 from my PC then downloading Version 3.1 again. If I remove Version 2.6 from Control Panel/Programs/Programs and Features will the house plans I have already prepared be lost? Is there something I am not doing correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Problems updating from Version 2.6 to 3.1
Since my previous post I have deleted my previous version of Java... Version 6(Update 23)and installed Version 6 Update 24 (the latest). I am using Windows 7 on a 64 bit PC and have Internet Explorer 9 as my browser.
After I updated Java I downloaded Version 3.1 of Sweet Home 3D again!!!! Everything seemed to be working fine and when I clicked on Help and About in the Menu bar it showed that I was working in Version 3.1. I closed the program and now, when I right click on the Sweet Home 3D desktop icon it shows the version as Version 2.6 instead of 3.1. Please help this newbie. Thank you.

Don't worry about the version shown on the desktop icon. The version you should trust is the version displayed by the About dialog.

Emmanuel, If I delete the Sweet Home 3D program (Version 2.6) via Control Panel will I lose all the house plans I have already developed? I cannnot afford to waste all the time spent on preparing those plans. Thank you.

You won't lose your plans, and you won't even loose the furniture and textures you imported. I anticipated that.
