How to make nice wooden floors
Hi,
I'm new to SH3D and love it so far! I have been strugling a bit with my floors though. I can't seem to get a nice dark wooden floor in my design. The textures provided with SH3D aren't what I'm looking for so I imported some of my own. The problem here then is the top and bottom (or right and left side) of the textures never fit together. I can't get a decent floor that way. I've seen designs in SH3D with beautiful wooden floors so I'm wondering if anyone could point out for me where to start.

Maybe you could start reading the manual? Especially this section may interest you. It explains how you can make rooms, and how to apply textures to them. That's the exact way how those nice floors you've seen were made.
Textures tile seemlessly to floors, so they should always fit. Imported textures do not behave differently, unless they're bigger than, say, 1024x1024 pixels. If you followed the manual and still have problems, come back here, and show us an image and your sh3d file. You can use www.mediafire.com to share them.

NoTurns,
Reading your post again, something occurred to me.
If your imported textures do not tile correctly, you should check your image. If the image has an irregular edge, has a (white) frame around it, or is partly transparent, that will show in SH3D as an irregularity. Maybe that's why you think your texture doesn't tile correctly.
Use an image editor to modify your image, or search for a new texture. You may try to use these search words: "texture, tileable, tiling, seamless".

NoTurns,
My first answer to your question was a bit rough on the edges. Sorry for that.
In the foreign languages section of the forum, questions in French, German, Spanish and Dutch are answered the same day (normally). Italian and Portuguese questions also have a good chance of being answered the same day. Other languages may take longer, or never get an answer.
Feel free to show one of the textures that causes problems. And here is a list of websites where you can find textures.

Creating a seamless texture that joins correctly at each border isn't very easy, that's why you don't find so many. From my own experience during the creation of Sweet Home 3D textures, I wanted to create a small tutorial to explain how to create such texture image from a picture, but... it didn't happen yet.
