Printing difficulties
Great program - thanks!!
When I choose "Print to PDF" it uses all the same settings as the default printer with no opportunity to change them.
Even though I don't have an A3 printer I want to be able to create an A3 PDF file so that my wife can print it at her work on their A3 printer.
I found one way to do this was to add a fake printer to my computer that supports A3, then set it up with A3 as its default paper size. I then print to file and convert the postscript file to PDF. Quite a convoluted work around for what the program should allow with a couple of settings choices for "Print to PDF".
One other trouble with this is that the plan at 1:100 is too large to fit on A3 paper and so should spread over 2 pages. But I only get one page printing. Thus the bottom 1/3 of the plan it unprintable. Is there some way that I can get this missing part to print (without having to copy that part to a new file every time I want to print it)?
Perhaps you could add a "Select area to print" button. This would solve some of the other issues I have seen raised in this forum too - such as printing each room individually.

Re: Printing difficulties
Judging by the speed of development, this problem should soon be corrected :) .Till then,a suggestion:
You can instal any of the free ODF printers - pdf995, pdfcreator, pdfExplorer...This should allow you to "print" PDF files.
Some of them even allow you to print as SVG. So you can open it in Inkscape (OS: at www.inkscape.org), add textures, etc, as you wish. And print/export-to-PDF.

Re: Printing difficulties
Thanks for that. I already have such a program. I can print to PDF. I just don't get options to choose paper size. Is that a lack in SweetHome3D or in the OS side (PDF printer etc.)?

Re: Printing difficulties
If you click on File->Page Setup, you should be able to adjust the paper size, scale, whether to print 3d/furniture list etc. But you are limited to the size of your printer.
The PDF printers, otoh, will allow you to choose paper size. In "Page Properties", click on Page format->Printer, select PDFCreator (as and example)... You can then change size, dpi etc, as you wish (if you go deeper ;)).
