How to mark a wall?
How can I mark a wall, which is covered by other things, e.g. an arch, box, service hatch etc.?

I can't teach you all my tricks.... Since we have the "Group" command, I tend to group all the objects that I want out of the way, so I can make them invisible with as few clicks as possible.

Re: How to mark a wall?
Dirki, depending on the items around the wall, you could also use a selection rectangle and/or the selection with the shift key. As in probably all drawing software, you can select a group of items with a surrounding rectangle (in Sweet Home 3D, it's not really a surrounding rectangle, since an item is selected as soon as it touches the selection rectangle): to draw such a rectangle, you must be in Select mode, press the mouse button in the plan at an empty place then drag and drop the mouse pointer to change the selection rectangle. You can also toggle items selection with the shift key: while maintaining this key pressed, you may unselect a selected item by clicking on it, you may select an item by clicking on it, and toggle the selection of a group of items by drawing a selection rectangle. Finally, note when the selection contains items of different types (for example a wall and a piece of furniture, a room and texts...), you can still modify only the wall(s), the furniture, the room(s)... among the selected items by choosing the appropriate Modify menu item.
I hope that these tricks and Hans' ones will help you to be more efficient with Sweet Home 3D.

Yes indeed (the "trick" is to press the "shift" key - otherwise the room will be moved - when making a rectangle with the pointer), many thanks Emmanuel and Hans.
Nice greetings, Dirk
