How can I add different colors to the floor?
How can I add different colors to the same floor?
E.g. I want to use 3 colors for the same floor of a room (e.g. for different tiling): white at the side around, blue for a square in the middle and another color somewhere.

Till hansmex's reply comes, here's two ways I can think of. 1. Make your floor as furniture. Export as obj, re-import. Make your tile design in a paint program, and apply it as texture. 2. If your floor is mostly one colour, with patches of other colours -- Make the floor and add minimum height (0.1 inch) of furniture of required colour and shape above it. Hope this helps

Re: How can I add different colors to the floor?
Dirki, there are simpler ways: draw rooms on top of each other (rooms are drawn in the same order they were added), or surrounding each other (it's more difficult to draw but better rendered in the 2D plan). Please see the attached example. One more tip: if you want precise values, enter numeric values with the keyboard by pressing the enter key.

Dirki, Emmanuel, Maker:
Here's my way of doing it. I once posted this solution here, but couldn't find it again. Strange thing is, that for some reason it doesn't work the way it should. Instead of following the space I draw, the floor also fills the middle part. As far as I am concerned, this is an "unwanted feature".
The problem with "stacking" floors is that they cause strange behaviour in the rendering window.

Where / how can I upload attachments in this forum?
Okay, I just try the "watch" option.
Thank you very much again, nice greetings, Dirk

Re: How can I add different colors to the floor?
Many thanks Hans,
Yes, great, that works...I assume to use roundings is not possible (the way using boxes). I will try a bit more...
How can I mark a box easiest, which lies under another box or an object and cannot be clicked?
Many thanks again. Nice greetings, Dirk
