scaling plan icon - how do i get the plan icon dimensions to match its rectangular border
when I increase the furniture dimension, the plan icon increases but only at a smaller rate ..so what happens is if the furniture are close enough they will appear to touch each other in the 3d view but not in the 2D plan view since the plan icon does not reflect the exact dimensions of its rectangular border
in short its true size is the rectangular border...

Having used SH3D quite a bit, I never noticed this problem in the way you describe it. As far as I know, the 2D representation of models is correct and the outer dimensions reflect the exact size of the scaled model.
Sometimes, the 2D representation overlaps, because there is empty space in the model. Example: when two circles are drawn (cylinders or spheres), the 2D models will overlap quite a bit, before the 3D models will touch. But this is the opposite of what you describe.
Can you show us some screen shots to clarify your problem?

The problem noticed by jjohnsson may happen with grouped furniture that contains some rotated items. When you enlarge that kind of group, the items it contains won't always occupy the selection rectangle of the group. jjhonsson, if you want to fix this, ungroup and group again the items of the group, or fix the overridden methods of HomeFurnitureGroup class. Good luck because this isn't an easy correction!

Re: scaling plan icon - how do i get the plan icon dimensions to match its rectangular border
Thank for the reply, I really appreciate it.
I just want to clarify a bit - after resizing in a furniture, I notice white space around the furniture icon on the inside of its rectangular border.
So when the rectangular border of two furniture items touch, the icons on the inside does not touch because of the white space on the inside of their rectangular border.
Can we expand the icon image of furniture, so it alwasys touches its rectangular border? So there are no or very little white space between the icon on the inside and its rectangular border?
Maybe it has to do with the scaling of the furniture image, relative to its rectangular border?
