texture adding to funiture (please help)
i just have a question. im importing tv's and bookshelf's and things with multiple colors in them ,when i go to the website to download it its perfect with all the colors and textures etc but when i import it it might be just gray or something, and if the open the zip folder there are a bunch of textures.jpg in the file.my question is how do i apply them all? cause i can only apply one texture or color at any given time, or am i doing something wrong? let me give an expamle. i have a palm tree i have imported, i want the bottom have brown with the wood texture and i want the top green with leaf texture i do i do that?
is it because at first when i was importing them i would unzip the file and just take out the .dae file move it to a different folder etc and then import is that incorrect?

Negrito:
The reason for the misbehaviour of your models lies in the fact that there seem to be different "dialects" of the OBJ-format description. Some programs add code in a "dialect" that is incompatible with the SH3D "dialect".
You will have to import your models in a program like Art of Illusion or Blender. There you can apply different textures to each part of your model(s). After doing that you export the model again in a format that SH3D can read.
Sometimes importing the model in AOI or Blender and saving/exporting it again is enough to correct a misbehaving model.

Hans, negrito211 is speaking about DAE file so it's not a story of OBJ dialects. negrito211, please post here links to the web pages of the 3D models that you didn't succeed to import. From version 2.5, you should be able to import almost any DAE/Collada file in Sweet Home 3D.

No, I just missed reading the last line. I'm a hasty person, always want to do things fast. In business/work that's (in general) an advantage, but when it comes to details, I should teach myself to read things twice :-)
