Zoom to Area

It would be nice to have a "zoom to rectangle" and "zoom to current selection" option.

It is very annoying that the ZoomIn button zooms to anything but the current selected object.

Re: Zoom to Area

Zoom in doesn't zoom to anything.
Some other software zoom on selection and some don't. Sweet Home 3D always zooms at the center of the viewport. Zoom out does the same except the plan is never enlarged when you zoom out.

An option may appear in the future to zoom on selection, but I don't think I'll add a zoom mode to manage "zoom to rectangle".
Note that pressing the space bar allows you to toggle temporarily to pan mode, and pressing Ctrl key (or Cmd key under Mac OS X) while rolling the mouse wheel upon the plan will zoom in or zoom out also.
Once again this tips are cited in help.
