UI fonts broken under Debian 12 (Bookworm)
Hi all,
I am relatively new to Sweet Home 3D and run Debian 12 (Bookworm).
Debian comes with Sweet Home 3D version 7.0.2 as package from the distribution. everything works relatively well except that the version is outdated and there are some display errors when scrolling through the object tree.
Since I wanted to run the latest version, I downloaded the latest version from the website ("SweetHome3D-7.5-linux-x64.tgz"), extracted the tgz file and executed the program. Unfortunately, the fonts of the UI are broken and the program is not useable (see attached screenshots).
Does anyone have advise on how to fix the UI issue?
Thanks!
With best regards, Daniel

Thanks for your hint. I did as you described and started the "SweetHome3D-Java3D-1_5_2" script. However, the fonts in the menus are still italic and way to large.

Several possibilities. Try a different theme on your desktop. Very likely this will solve the problem. What desktop do you use? Try a different desktop and see if the same problem occurs. Check your desktop settings (theme again) and possible customization you did.
