a curved wall

I can make a wall in an arc but not oval.
If there is a way, please let me know.

Otherwise, wishlist.

You probably tried it with two halves of a circle. Your're correct that doesn't create an oval.
You need a wall split in 4: wide curve, sharp curve, wide curve, sharp curve. You can play with the lenghts and curve degrees to get a smooth oval. For other randomly curved walls: for every change of curvature use a extra (part of the) wall. It's an easy way to create random curves for a small natural pool or lake, or the sides of a river.

A trick for a full circle: create one wall and curve it 180°. Copy&paste, then rotate the copy 180°.

Re: a curved wall

And an even easier circle...
Draw a line from left to right, than back to left - double-click to end and attach it
The last segment will be highlighted - modify the arc to 180 degree
Now you can see the first segment, modify that also to 180 degrees
Ready

Yes, another way to create a wall circle and with the advantage that the walls are connected smile

When you curve a wall it actually creates a series of straight wall sections that are rotated around a curve. In some cases that has too little detail (or too much!) for what you want. To get around that there's another way:
Instal the Generate Regular Room plugin. Set the number of sides to a number that fits the level of detail you want and generate the room (max sides is 300). Select the create wall tool and double click in the room. It will create a wall around the room. In the case of a 128 sided room the wall circle will have 128 sections to form the circle, with 12 sides, a circle with 12 wall sections: dodecagon smile

Re: a curved wall

Thank you, gentlemen, for the prompt and helpful replies.
I've tried the arc-four-walls method, and it works but I was hoping for a lazy easier method.

Re: a curved wall

I ran into the same issue before. Using two half-circles won’t form an oval, you really need to split the wall into 4 segments with alternating wider and sharper curves and adjust the lengths to smooth it out.

Re: a curved wall

The 4 walls way to create an oval is obsolete since the regular room plugin was introduced. There's a much better and easier method now.
Make sure you have the Advanced Edit plugin installed too. (that one should be installed by default!)

Using the Regular Room plugin: create a room as a circle with a sufficient number of sides.
Select the room and click the icon in the toolbar for "Resizes all selected items".
In the resize dialog uncheck the "Keep aspect ratio" checkbox. Now you can either change the height or the width to get a perfect oval. Click Ok to resize the room.
Select the "Create wall" tool from the toolbar and double-click on the room to create the walls around the room.

You can still change the oval walls after you created them by using the same resize function on the selected walls.
