The order of my Levels seems to be locked - Why?
I am working with a model that has several (11) 'levels'. for some reason I am no longer able to adjust the order of these levels using the up/down arrows in the 'Modify Level' dialog. A few days ago I was able to move a level from top to bottom but now all levels seem to be stuck.
I can still adjust the order of levels in my old files and also with a new file but this particular file seems locked. File size is ~20MB.
Note that all my levels are at the same elevation, height and floor thickness. I am therefore using levels as 'layers' rather than traditional levels.
Any ideas?
My next step is to start again with a new file and copy each layer into that but I'm interested to know what has gone wrong with this file.

In version 7.5 I created 13 (empty) levels and was able to move the selected level up and down.
Check your version and update if necessary, then try to make 11+ empty levels before copying everything to a new file.

Little secret.... me neither (after 15+ years)
It's only been available for a "short" time... almost 10 years or so

Like other colleagues here, I have tried to reproduce your problem (16 levels at same elevation). No success!. The problem is serious and deserve attention. My suggestions: 1. Save the file as a different one name (as a backup) and try again. Sound illogical but it is a test. 2. Inform us about SH3D version and OS. 3. If you trust us share the file here to study it. Some of us will find the problem.

Re: The order of my Levels seems to be locked - Why?
I have been using multiple levels for a long time as layers of the same height and elevation. Usually a maximum of 5 layers, usually first for plan, second furniture, third for light ambient, fourth for light. That way I can easily hide or reveal levels and select objects in the scene. I have had no problems because the order doesn't matter to me, the only thing that matters to me is the hide or show option.

Re: The order of my Levels seems to be locked - Why?
Thanks all for your inputs. Sorry for slow reply but I got busy.
I am using V7.5 on windows 11 64bit. 16G of RAM.
I spent some time tonight and created a new file and copied all my level contents from the 'stuck' file to this new file. The new file seems to be behaving correctly, ie I can freely manipulate the levels up and down. So it is looking like my original file is somehow corrupted and for now I am back up and running. If I find some time I may dig a bit deeper into that old file, deleting layers etc to see if it comes right.
I am reminded that I have recently (months?) started getting SH3D crashes with symptom of CPU/fan ramping up but the UI stops responding and I have to kill the process. Thankfully SH3D does provide file recovery however I wondeer if one of those crashes has corrupted the file? (or vice-versa).
Note that I am using the levels feature for more than just as 'layers', in addition I am using levels to create 'versions' of a design. So I create a level and copy-paste the previous level contents and then edit the new 'level' [version] from there. Some of the plan levels can be quite busy but I do delete old/uneeded levels to avoid file size getting to out of hand. But probably I am just stretching my SH3D/PC system beyond it's limit.
Note also that the reason I might want to change the order of levels is because of strange (and annoying) artifacts* that I see in the plan view that happen with doors when they are positioned close to another wall in a level of lower order, even when that 'lower' level is tagged as not viewable.. Snapping is also affected in a simlarly way. (*I would add an screenshot of the artifact if I knew how to add images in this editor!).
