Re: Help on angled doors please?
Unbelievable. So I do think that selecting only the objects i want before exporting to Object was a part of it, as was importing it and remembering to switch it to a Door or Window, which I did, but I'm getting mixed results. I am working from a few open files at once.
One is the whole room that I've been building and slowly adding things to. When I installed the new door in the wall of this file, it didn't work, as you can see by the red circles in the attached image.
The other file was a new one just to build the door in, again, from scratch. I usually export it as an object, then Import is into the Furniture library of 'User'. THIS time, in this working file for the door, I created a simple wall, not even a whole room or floor, and as you can see, it worked!
What I can't figure out is why can't I make that happen in my other cabin file?

Re: Help on angled doors please?
You failed to mention the wall had a little curve! In a curved wall the holes will always be square, not the outline of the door/window. This flaw/bug has been discussed before but it is a very difficult problem to solve, if at all possible.

Oh! Ok, well then at least I'm not the reason it's not working! Lol! Thank you for all the insight! You've been a big help, and I didn't realize that the slight curve would have mattered, otherwise I'd have mentioned it.
Um, I don't suppose I could trouble you with a few more questions?
1. I tried both the links you sent me for the Star Trek libraries. The 1st link just slams closed in my browser before I can even read the tab. I don't know why. My virus protection isn't mentioning any issue with the page being suspicious, but it just shuts off on me and doesn't even keep the tab open.
2. The 2nd link takes me to a page that says "Mediafire...Something appears to be missing… The key you provided for file access was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or MediaFire."
Now I don't have a membership to this page, as I've never heard of it before. Do I need one? Are you seeing the link? I could kick myself because I swear a few days ago when I 1st saw the links, I got to view the library, but I can't anymore. Any thoughts?
3. I've been trying to download the Furniture Library Editor, but it won't install. No messages telling me why either. I click it and it just sits and does nothing. Any idea what's up? I'm running a Windows 10 Pro system.

The thread where the Furniture Library Editor was announced explains how to start the editor. Usually just double-clicking the .jar file should work. http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/forum/viewthread_thread,1550_offset,0 Anything else on Windows I can't help with since I only know Linux. I temporarily mirrored the urls for you. Let me know when you have downloaded them so I can remove them fom my site. Re: Help on angled doors please?
I did read through that thread. Double clicking didn't work for me. Neither did any of the instructional pages I found looking for guidance. One said that I had to check to see if I already have a version of Java on my computer, but my system didn't respond with the data they said it would. It just said, 'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.'
I'm not a programmer and know nothing about Java so I've been going down a rabbit hole trying to figure out how to get the Furniture Library Editor to work. I finally was led to this page...
