I was about to say that shouldn't make a difference... but decided to try it first.
It did work. :) Thanks. Do you have any idea why it would make a difference? It's exactly the same version number. Do you distribute your own java sdk or something similar?

The "official" version of Sweet Home 3D distributed on SourceForge.net comes with a copy of Java 1.8. If you have a way to warn the maintainers of other repositories that they should stop using the latest Java version with Sweet Home 3D, it would be nice to tell them because it's the number one reason why Linux users post messages here.
