Re: Add a mezzanine wall. Is it possible?
|
Ask the same thing and it seems there is no answer to the topic. You add a level for that wall.
Example: You want the mezzanine wall to start at the height of 2 meters in a wall with a height of 250cm. Add a level with the elevation 220cm, a floor thickness of 20cm and a height of 30cm. Set the height of the mezzanine wall to 30cm. Why these "strange" numbers for a 50 cm wall at 200cm? A wall starts at the bottom of a floor and a floor "sinks" into the level below. This means the bottom of the wall also "sinks" into the level below.
On the dodecagon manuals page there is a manual that explains everything about levels with images that show how it works, both up and below the ground level.
ETA: While the described method is the correct one there is another way that might fit your situation just as well: The Door frame model. You can insert it into the wall and it will create a hole the size of the the frame. You can change the width and height to your requirements. Of course it shows the frame but in your situation that might even be an advantage because it covers the wall sides which often do not texture well.
