The Display's Directional Conventions
Sometimes it is difficult to obtain a spacial relationship between the user's mental viewpoint and the 2D view. I noticed that I could not search for that information in the User's Guide. Maybe I missed something.
In any case, the 3D view does not help because one can rotate the 3D without affecting the 2D.
So, understanding that the x-axis represents left and right, and the y-axis represents up and down, and that the zero on the layout is just a non-essential starting point, it appears that the missing component is the direction one is facing relative to the drawing (and/or its components?).
Does the x-axis need to be viewed from inside or outside? In other words, is the user facing a wall from inside so as to view the left and right directions, or facing it from the outside?

What od you mean?

If you miss it, just look at the 3D view!

He's facing from the top of the wall.

No od; 2D and 3D.

Didn't miss anything. Document not clear.
He's facing from the top of the wall.
So that is a top-down view? That makes the axes even more confusing. That means that when the user edits a wall properties, the x and y axes are not conforming to the width and height of the real world.
Is there some reason that the real world view cannot be maintained in the CAD functions?

Re: The Display's Directional Conventions
One of the things the documentation writer(s) failed to take into account was how the user may mentally view things. This one of those problem areas, and we just need clarification.
