SW3D Viewer

Are there plans to upgrade the viewer? As I'm sure you know, there are several weaknesses that make it quite difficult to navigate. Thanks for tipping me off to the Shift key to slow down the motion, but what about features like direct moving of point of view, or being able to shift from overhead view to close-in view, as can be done in SW3D? I really appreciate being able to display my home interactively on my web site, but as it is, most users tell me they just give up on trying to move around at all.

And is there (or will there be) any documentation for the viewer?

Thanks for everything. You guys are great!

Re: SW3D Viewer

The small documentation of Sweet Home 3D Viewer is in the README.TXT file provided in install file and the Javadoc of the com.eteks.sweethome3d.applet.SweetHome3DViewer class.

You can switch between Aerial view and Virtual visit modes in by simply pressing the space bar.
Next version will provide also navigation arrows by adding navigationPanel:"true" to applet parameters. These arrows should simplify the navigation for new users.
You may already test them in Sweet Home 3D 2.3 Beta version described here.

Re: SW3D Viewer

Any possibility for an export to swf or fla option? Or Flash code to load/import SW3D files? I can see that being a useful presentation media for plan files.

Re: SW3D Viewer

You can already export the 3D view at OBJ + MTL format.
There must be some programs on the Internet able to convert 3D files at OBJ format to an other format, no?
