I know that .sh3d is a zip file, but what is the home file format inside of the sh3d file?

Re: .sh3d file format

The home file in a sh3d file contains a Home object serialized with Java.
See HomeFileRecorder and DefaultHomeOutputStream classes for more information.

Re: .sh3d file format

I won't create a new format for Sweet Home 3D without a deep reflection.
Why do you need XML?
What kind of elements do you want?

By the way, serializing into XML isn't so difficult, you can do it by program with your own elements or automatically with tools like XStream.
