Would like to import DXF furniture files that I have
I have a bunch of purchased (licensed) furniture files in DXF format. Is there a way to import them into the SH3D libraries or to use them in some other way? I would hate to lose them.

Re: Would like to import DXF furniture files that I have
Try to import your DXF files in Blender and export them at Wavefront OBJ format, and then import OBJ files in Sweet Home 3D. If you never used Blender, don't forget to select the objects you want to export and take care about the various options in export dialog:
Generally, I check Normals, Object Groups, Material Groups and Copy Images.
Please tell us how it worked.

Hi I'm looking to export a file created by my Client so I can use it in Vectorworks 2008, I read your response about importing and wondered whether it would work in reverse for export.

At what format is the file created by your client? If it's a SH3D file, you can export it to OBJ format with Sweet Home 3D and import the OBJ file or transform it to an other format with Blender or an other program.

Hi everybody,
i would like to ask which is the easiest way to import the obj files into blender?
For example if I had designed a room in SweetHome3D and I had it exported in .obj, then how can i import it into blender so that it can recognize all the furnitures etc i had in my project?
