Wrong rendering elements

Hello,

As you can see on the image on www.zinintransitie.nl/3d-example a lot of elements don’t have equal colours, but are grainy. I tried several light positions, colours and structures, but the issue remains. Who can tell me how I can solve this? Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Rianne

I have a couple of 'Newbie' questions; I've tried to find answers before posting, but no luck. Apologies if I've missed them.

Script for converting GLB files to OBJ

Hello,

I’m posting this message to share the script I wrote to convert GLB files to OBJ, which allows them to be imported into Sweet Home 3D. I imagine this might be useful to others. Please let me know if you encounter any bugs!

One of the things this script does is include the textures with the object.
For my part, I set the scale to 100 to get the correct scale in Sweet Home 3D, but I ...

Advanced help requested for home design

I’m currently working on a home design in Sweet Home 3D and have run into a few challenges with some of the more advanced features.

In particular,
1) I’m having difficulty building the roof,
2) creating the stairs for a home with a basement, and
3) getting the basement level to appear when viewing the project in 3D.

I’m hoping that someone with more experience using Sweet Home 3D ...

Annoying SPAM BOTS abusing forum - action needed.

There's been a rash of AI (presumably) spam bots that are creating new accounts, posting vague messages that when read are often meaningless. They usually contain a link to some external website.

I might be wrong, but I believe this is a strategy for increasing the sites relevance in search engines due to increased back links.

As an example, there are five new accounts posting to this ...

Problem with optimisation

When creating a series of models I tried to optimise the number of used files.

I created one mtl-file and several obj-files.
the structure of the files is:
doors.mtl
    Door1 (subfolder)
        Door1.obj
    Door2 (subfolder)
        Doors2.obj

Each Door*.obj file is referencing the mtl-file with mtllib ../Doors.mtl .

I created a furniture library.

At least 3 times now, I have downloaded furniture files (Collada zip files) from associated websites and uploaded them to the "Users" category in the SweetHome3D Furniture library using the "Import Furniture" option. Everything seems to go great for days, then when I open the SweetHome3D application again, all my furniture files are missing. As I mentioned, this has occurred ...

I'm afraid it is looking increasingly bleak for SweetHome3D from my point of view. Space Mushrooms (oddly named AI Photo Editor Lab SRL on Apple) are seemingly not supporting the original, free GPL licensed application in any meaningful way. They appear to have gone closed-source only - they haven't made any commits to the sourceforge code repository. If they purchased the ...

Is anyone else having difficulty downloading furniture from 3D Warehouse? Every time I attempt to install a file using the “Import Furniture” option, my computer locks up. First, I download the Collada.zip file to my hard drive, open SweetHome 3D, and select the “Import Furniture” option from the Furniture menu.
