Models that look like architectural plans

I need to draw some architectural plans for a house project (building permissions and more).

After a lot of false starts with other tools, I discovered that the plan view in SH3D is pretty much sweet for drawing these kinds of things :)

Have even drawn the cross-sections by laying out the vertical walls and rooflines horizontally etc.

But the furniture all looks out of place on these ...

Another "New" Home Based on a House Plan I Found Online

I know I've just recently posted about a vintage-style house plan upgrade, but that was something that I'd completed a while ago, just decided to include on this forum, and have since moved on.

Once again, I've found someone else's work, liked it, but thought of a few changes to it that I wanted to see how they would work out. This one is from the website Houseplans.net with ...

I think it would be incredibly useful if you could add a hide elements function say I create a working floor plan and I put a roof on it and I want to do more I have to remove the roof in order to work instead of duplicating the floor plan over and over I think it would be easier to be able to hide an element and keep working it would be great to see if you can come up with something like that ...

You can move the center point in aerial mode

For those how would like to move the center point in the aerial view, this is how I do it:

1. In the 3D window in aerial view, with right mouse down move the mouse up until you are straight on top of the center point.

2. In the design window, put any furniture as "Center point control object". Now move that furniture around the other objects and you see the center point moving in ...

FurnitureLibraryEditor-1.22.jar will not run

I am running XP SP3. I have been using SH3D for some time, and followed the prompt to update to 5.7 today.
I spotted the FurnitureLibraryEditor program while on the website.
After some fun and games I found the java program in C:\Program Files\Sweet Home 3D\jre8\bin.I copied the .jar file into the bin directory, and double clicked - nothing happened.
What am I not doing?

When I open the Plugin Manager in SH3D 7.5 I get the error ¨Failed to download the plugin list: Connection reset¨.
The URL in Settings is https://daniels118.altervista.org/sh3d/pluginmanager/plugins.xml.
Question is there another URL or what is causing this. Unable to reach daniels website from China. That might be the problem!

something odd with 3D view

[img][img]https://imgur.com/a/EhdWwMp[img][/img] Hello,

I’m having a strange issue with the 3D view in Sweet Home 3D and I can’t figure out what is causing it.

I created a very simple model from scratch:

One level only.

Level elevation: 0 cm.

Level height: 250 cm.

A rectangular room created with four walls.

Wall height: 250 cm.

A room ...

connecting SH3D and AI for work

I managed to find an algorithm for new features in working with SH3D. The best SH3D program is an ideal option for successfully combining this honest part of the work and the second part that is not entirely honest. Yes, it's about AI. I couldn't find an algorithm that I wouldn't be ashamed to go public with. I am sharing with you my discoveries in this field. So I am sure that the ...

3D rendering using GPU cores

3D rendering using GPU cores

What would be a wonderful solution for the rather extreme slow rendering of 3D images. Especially the very long rendering time when images are needed in higher resolutions i.e. 4000 pixel.
A 3D rendering engine that uses all the GPU cores of a modern video card i.e. Nvidia.
That would be awesome!

In the blog for 6.6 (27 July 2021) future support of a dark mode is mentioned. Is there any progress in that direction?

Switching between Sweet Home 3D and Blender painfully shows how much better a dark mode is for your eyes, especially with the current early dark evenings . The interface and 2Dview have a lot of glaring white screen space which would be a lot less straining on the eyes with a ...
