Measure Tool supposed to round? Is the measure tool supposed to round? If I create a wall that are 10188 mm and measure it, it shows 10190. If I open the wall it says distance between points 10188. xStart='20.4' yStart='1018.8' xEnd='20.4' yEnd='0.0' height='260.0' thickness='40.8' Other walls it measures correctly, so I'm a bit confused. It also does the rounding, even is I scale by 10 xStart='204.0' yStart='10188.0' xEnd='204.0' yEnd='0.0' height='2600.0' thickness='408.0' |

Re: Measure Tool supposed to round? The X,Y coordinates that define walls, define the mid-line. So, if you measure the outside or the inside diameter of a circular wall, the difference will be twice the difference of the wall thickness. Only the mid-line will give the exact diameter you planned. H ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: Measure Tool supposed to round? I'm not sure it's a story of mid-line... KalleDK, dimension lines are rounded according to the current scale in the plan and magnetism, except if you place the mouse cursor along the measured wall. See this video at 3'20". Maybe should I allow to zoom twice more at maximum for millimeter precision? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
