Saving paths for video Hi all, I am quite new to SweetHome3d (and I love it, btw), so maybe I just have not found how to do what I want... I am creating small "walk-through" videos for different parts of my plan. I have not yet found a way to save the walk-through path somehow, so whenever I want to to re-render something (maybe because of new furniture, new lights, whatever), I have to recreate the path manually, which is 1) tedious work, and 2) does not guarantee the same path as used in previous renderings. Any hints how to solve this issue? Thanks and regards! -stefan- |

Re: Saving paths for video Unless you're ready to edit the Home.xml entry in the saved SH3D file by hand, there's no way to edit the points of the path. If your path doesn't contain too many points, you could also store each point of view and restore them one by one. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Saving paths for video Would it be enough to fiddle around with Home.xml (more concrete with the entries /home/environment/observerCamera[attribute='cameraPath'])? I am going to create some tooling to extract/insert these XML tags to save/restore my paths. I hope there is nothing in the binary file 'Home' required for this to work - is there? Thanks and regards -stefan- |

Re: Saving paths for video When present, the priority is given to the Home.xml entry and the Home entry is ignored. You can even remove Home entry, it's still in a SH3D file for backward compatibility, and will disappear in a future version. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
