Decrease or reduce amount of sunlight? Hi, is there a way to make the sun less bright? Maybe simulate a cloudy day? I have a render that is being completely washed out by the sun. I want minimal shadows so I changed the compass to the equator at noon. But my main goal is to have a distinct difference when the lights are on versus when they are off. When the sun is so bright its hard to tell. I don't want it to be nighttime. See my examples: Thanks for your help! |

Re: Decrease or reduce amount of sunlight? Choose a night hour, and add a few large white light sources at 100% power high enough to replace the sun. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Decrease or reduce amount of sunlight? Another way is to use IBL-lighting. Use this plugin by enkonyito, and have a look at this thread, where you can see examples and get some tips. This will give you great control over light and shadows. Cec |
