Plans to migrate to git/mercurial? Are there any plans to migrate the source code from CVS to a recent versioning system such as git (github, bitbucket) or mercurial? Thanks! |

Re: Plans to migrate to git/mercurial? There isn't a plan to move to Git in a close future, because Git is nice but too complicate compared to CVS and I use very often links to CVS source code directly in the forum and I don't want to break these links. Note also that if it happens one day, I don't think I'll leave SourceForge.net. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Plans to migrate to git/mercurial? Imo `git` is the only SCM that will attract developers - if that's your intention, which it should be for a FLOSS project, you'd probably have to switch to a more usable platform than sourceforge.net as well. Few pepole know how to use CVS and every serious developer has to learn how to use `git` anyway sooner or later. The switch would be appreciated. |
