Floor transition without wall SH3D newbie creating my first floor plan. I have learned that rooms are defined by walls, and how to apply floor coverings to selected rooms. Now I want to transition between the two floor coverings in an open area; it's not delineated by a wall. Is there any way to accomplish that task? For now, I've created an imaginary wall, but it does not look good in the 3D view. Very impressed by this software! |

Re: Floor transition without wall In Sweet Home 3D, it's not mandatory that a room is surrounded by walls. With the room creation tool, you can create any surface (for example, look at the exterior of the house and the "lake" in SweetHome3DExample9-WoodenShed.sh3d available in the gallery). In the 3D view, if you have strange surfaces that appear, it's probably some room ceilings that are not correctly computed sometimes. To hide them, select the room, display its modification pane and uncheck the Display ceiling option. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
