Scale I just downloaded Sweet Home last night. I am not using it for home design at the present. What I am trying to do is draw infill walls in an attic space, exterior stairways and other misc. details. Before drawing I would like to set my scale for 3/4" to the foot. How do I do this? |

Re: Scale Scale on screen adjusts to your plan. Zoom in/out with magnifying glasses in toolbar or Ctrl+Mouse wheel. Print scale is set in File-Page setup. ok |

Re: Scale That isn't a lot of help when I want to create a new drawing! If you can't set a scale before starting a drawing what use is it in the field? |

Re: Scale 1 - Go to File -> Preferences, select the measurement system you want. 2 - Make your drawing. A line 1 unit long, now has a length of 1 millimeter/centimeter/inch/foot. When using feet/inches, make sure to type ' or ". 3 - Go to File -> Page setup and set the scale to 1:16. If you now print your drawing, the measurements on the print should be 3/4 inch to 12 inch. Re: Scale Larry, when you draw a wall or the side of a room the program will indicate you the length of what you draw. The default scale at screen is 2 cm per pixel, but as you don't know the size of a pixel, this won't help. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
