Setting and locking building external (or internal) size Hi, This is probably a stupid question, but is it possible to enter the overall dimensions of a rectangular building when creating the external walls and then locking them so they don't change? I have tried using "create room" and "create walls", but it is possible to be slightly non-square, especially on large buildings. Thanks Roger |

Re: Setting and locking building external (or internal) size Assuming I understand what you mean: - When drawing a wall, or room, you can press Enter to insert values manually. - While you draw, you can use ALT to disable magnetism (Mac:CMD , Linux: Shift+Alt ) if the angles are off. - After a wall is completed, you can modify the properties to set exact values. - After a room is completed, you can move each corner (and if you have the AdvancedEdit plugin, you can enter exact corner values. - If you have closed walls, you can double-click with the room tool to insert the room automatically. - If you have a room, you can double-click with the wall tool to create the walls around that room automatically. - And after you have drawn your walls / rooms, you can click the little padlock top left 2D pane to lock (all items that are part of base plan). ok |
