entities limit? A model I am working on has 1534 entities. I am working in sketchup and want to export to SH3D but I tried to import it as furniture and waited 15 minutes but got nothing and then I tried to import it as a furniture library because it is so big but got nothing. It exports from sketchup into a DAE file no problem but I just can't get it into SH3D. Any ideas? Thanks (I have tried exploding it and removing several hundred entities and then tried to import it and still no luck) |

Re: entities limit? It's not the entities count that make a limit, but the number of triangles / polygons they contain. The size of the DAE file is generally a good indicator too. How big is yours? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: entities limit? Some times .dae format not working properly. Try again with .3ds or .obj format. ![]() ---------------------------------------- ![]() |

Re: entities limit? It must have been the shapes. The dae file was not out of line with other files that have imported fine. What I finally did was explode it and remove elements piece by piece sometimes in 8 pieces each and then am importing them and reconstructing them in sh3d. I am also looking to buy a more adequate computer. Does anyone know if a basic non integrated graphics card would be okay or do I need to go for a Nvidia GTX 870m or the like??? |

Re: entities limit? If you have a DAE file that you can't import in Sweet Home 3D, I would be happy that you send it to me, so I can fix the bug if there is one. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
