Curved Staircase I am new to Sweet Home 3D but have found it very user friendly. However I get stuck from time to time, on details. How can I add a curved staircase to the plan? I don't mean spiral stairs. thanks for help. |

Re: Curved Staircase For a curved staircase you need to include a library (because the model itself does not support the correct cutout (and it is not yet automated). I put my own test-staircase on the SF SweetHome models forum: Curved staircase Which, as I mentioned, you need to import as a FurnitureLibrary. Note that the staircase is a rough draft, but you can change colours and size. But as it was made specifically for one building, the proportions may not be ideal. I will probably update the model later. Ola-Kristian PS - although it is called Circular, it is actually a 180 deg curve. |

Re: Curved Staircase Thanks so much. I will certainly check this out. The staircase I am looking for is semicircular. If I cannot find what I need from furniture library, or the one you have which is 180 degrees, could I create one of my own and import? How could I do that? Once again, thanks for your help. |

Re: Curved Staircase I just realized I put semicircular where as I meant quart of a circle. How could I access quarter round walls and quarter round staircase? I see that one can do half circle wall in Sweet Home 3D. How could I access shapes like circle, oval, triangle, etc, or access special symbols used to show plumbing, etc? thanks for the help! |

Re: Curved Staircase Like this ? You can use Sketchup to take away the wall behind it. Note that textures don't apply correctly to parts of this design. Hans ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: Curved Staircase I just realized I put semicircular where as I meant quart of a circle. How could I access quarter round walls and quarter round staircase? I see that one can do half circle wall in Sweet Home 3D. An arched wall you create by drawing a straight wall between two points, add Arc extent (lower right corner under Modify Walls, adjust positive/negative values until it fits).Curved staircases (objects with special cutouts in floors / walls) imported from other sources may need some extra work in the FurnitureLibraryEditor to work the way you want. The link below takes you to a couple of test models that should work (I included a 90deg curved staircase with various cutouts and walls). Copy and paste the staircase into your own model and change size, textures etc. SourceForge post, test cutouts ok ![]() |
