How to import autocad .dxf or .dwg files to .objHello, I need to import models from autocad so I supose that I need to transform them to .3ds or .obj files. Could you recommend me any tool for this task? I have seen that Autodesk 3Ds Max can transform from dxf to 3ds but I haven't any license to do this. Thanks in advance. Diego |

Re: How to import autocad .dxf or .dwg files to .obj Thanks a lot for your help, Problem is that these programs only convert from dxf or dwg to an image format (not to a obj file or 3ds necessary to work with sweethome). |

Re: How to import autocad .dxf or .dwg files to .obj Did you find a solution to this? I mean it looks like a nice app but I have my house all drawn up in DXF files and would like to import them as the baseplan, not recreate ... |

Re: How to import autocad .dxf or .dwg files to .obj For blueprint You need to import a png file. I use this way to solve it: AutoCAD(dxf/dwg)->export as pdf -> convert in png with GIMP. Then import as background in SH3D. Of course I must redraw all wall & etc. ---------------------------------------- A computer program does what you tell it to do, not what you want it to do.
