more of a bug but I'm not registered to create a bug ticket. Using the auto-create room function, where the walls surround an area and you create a room by double clicking in that area with the room tool... If I create concentric walls (of any shape) where one wall is completely inside another area, like this: The auto-room thing fills the entire area rather than just the outer area, when clicking in the outer part, although the 2 areas are separate, like this I can create a room in the inner part "on top" of the whole area, but then the sizes are wrong, also, stacking the rooms in the same level could possibly lead to problems with the rendering. Even without those issues, it's not an optimal solution. |

Re: more of a bug I'm not registered to create a bug ticket. Posting a bug in SourceForge tracker is still the best place. I hope you'll understand that managing all the bugs at the same place is easier for me and users who follow bug fixes.I'm aware of the bug you reported. I'm not sure I'll fix it soon because there's a simple workaround: instead of double-clicking in the room, draw it corner by corner, with at a moment a line that will go from an "outer" corner to an "inner" corner. Hope you can understand what I mean. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: more of a bug yes I can work around it. Another way is to place a wall temporarily connecting the other walls, then it works properly, and afterwards remove the temporary wall and edit the outer room. Maybe one day I'll register on sourceforge :) |
