Cut-out shape for winfows
Hello Emmanuel,

I wonder if it could be possible to integrate a cut-out shape for doors and windows (as it already exists for staircases) in a future release.
I try to create a rounded window, completly integrated in the wall, but it seems difficult to do.

A solution is to create the wall in my window object, using wall textures (interior and exterior) but that isn't very reusable.

What do you think about that ?

Kind regards and thank you again for this great software.

Laurent.

Re: Cut-out shape for winfows
In the current version, staircases and windows don't behave the same:
- staircases make a hole in a ceiling as soon as its height his higher than the ceiling,
- windows are also able to make a recess in a wall if its depth doesn't completely cover the wall thickness. With an additional cut-out shape, it would make a second level of intersection to compute compared to staircases with ceilings, and it would be much harder to program, but I'll see if it's possible in a future version. Note also that I fear that defining a cut-out shape be too hard to define for the public targeted by Sweet Home 3D. Maybe I could propose some basic ones like a circle, half-circle, triangle...
