hi emmanuel they are used in autocad programmes, it is essentially a dotted line, infinity to left and right, or up and down. they are used for allignment, very useful when you are plotting more than one building at a time. cheers shaun.

You can use a (temporary) wall, and then align your objects using the options under Furniture.

thanks for your response, what you say is right, just sometimes i work on four to five levels and would put in forty to fifty rays, i have autocad software to use, its just that with sh3d it is so much simpler and quicker to design. cheers shaun.
