Floor PLan Symbols? Please Help!
Im new to this and Ive spent hours looking for symbols I can use to show the stairs, mens and womens restrooms ect. when I pring out the floor plan and everytime I find one that will work for what I need it is only avaliable to download for "SketchUp 8 (.skp)" which will not work for me. I have to use "Collada (.zip)"
I tried to follow these instructions:

"For Google 3D Warehouse models available only in SKP/SketchUp format, it is possible to easily convert them to DAE/Collada format by choosing File > Export > 3D Model... out of the menu in the free version of SketchUp."

But it still did not work for me. I just need to know if Im simply asking too much or if there is a way for me to find symbols that will work for me.

You seem to run out of luck.
One easy solution should be to apply a filter on Collada (.zip) model type for your search in Google 3D Warehouse at this page.

I have tried that also, the only time I find what Im looking for its not in the format I need I guess. Thanks for replying though, now I know that I may just be asking too much lol

Could you copy here the link to a Google 3D Warehouse SKP model you didn't succeed to convert to DAE format?

I just went back and re read the instructions to convert the file and I noticed that at the end it says "...out of the menu in the free version of SketchUp"
I dont have SketchUp downloaded on this computer, so maybe Im just trying to convert it in the wrong place all together. Im not very educated on this stuff so Im just figuring it out as I go lol

I downloaded it and am now able to convert them and use them in sweethome3d! Thanks for talkin it out with me!
