Cylinder tube 'stretches' texture too much when enlarging cylinder in height....Hi Guys, Did the test (couldn't wait) but 'hélas... As I stretch my 'cylinder' to be 11 meters high (!) -they are the 4 'corner poles' of my house- the 'tube cylinder' stretches the texture in a way that looks awful... See: http://cl.ly/image/2B1X1y3l0s2L I had separate cylinders on each floor before (pilimg up on those of the floor beyond and beneath), at the 4 corners but I got rid of those and made 4 corner poles at -1 level, and they 'carry the floors' of my 4 story building / house now... Piling up the different cylinders was such a precision-job; 4 steady 'cylinder poles' from -1 look nicer and are more realistic... BUT .. I won't be able to give them a texture then... which is a pity... Thanks for your help anyways! |

Re: Cylinder tube 'stretches' texture too much when enlarging cylinder in height.... You should create a texture image that will fit the length of your cylinders once streched. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
