3D stereo view (side-by-side)Hei there, just found out about SH3D a few weeks ago. Nice work! I actually own video googles, so a really nice feature would be an option for side-by-side stereo view so one could use video googles or a 3D monitor to watch his "sweet home" with real 3-dimensional stereoscopic effect. I imagine it shouldn't be to difficult to render a second camera view?! But of course it probably takes some time... Cheers, siuryder |

Re: 3D stereo view (side-by-side) I already run some anaglyph tests with a plug-in using Anaglyph Canvas3D library. But the results weren't convincing and it wasn't very stable. Generating two different videos should give more convincing results. Do you know which file format those glasses support? Is it possible to tell them to play two MOV files at the same time, one for the left eye, the other for the right eye? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: 3D stereo view (side-by-side) Hei, thanks for your fast reply. Well I had a look at anaglyph and it really doesn't look very convincing. Actually my idea was not to watch a video with my video googles (even the name suggesting it ). What I wanted was the live view of Sweet Home, where you can move interactively. I'm aware you don't have the photo rendering quality, but I'll live with that. The video googles support the so called side-by-side view. It's the two camera views (one for each eye) compressed to half width and put next to each other, so you can "send" it to the googles via a normal monitor cable (and not two). short explanation: http://www.projector-guide.com/3d-dlp/side-by-side-3d This is already possible with the free CryEngine SDK, I already tested it's terrific.
