light power in Lumen and "ambient light" for the sun Hi, I would be pleased, if i could set the light power in Lumen. e.g. a 100W Bulb has 1400lm. Since the EU-bulb-prohibition most of lightsources comes with its lumen-number the Second thing i would wish for the next version is at the Picture-Renderer: I if the sun is really bright, things in the shadow are very dark, darker than in real-life. So can you ad an option to add "ambient light" for the sun? by the way: is ther a dokumentation for the renderer? |

Re: light power in Lumen and "ambient light" for the sun Hi, I would be pleased, if i could set the light power in Lumen. This would be not useful for the program with the current renderer. As reflections are not computed, the power of light is a very relative information! See also this subject for more information.e.g. a 100W Bulb has 1400lm. Since the EU-bulb-prohibition most of lightsources comes with its lumen-number the Second thing i would wish for the next version is at the Picture-Renderer: An ambient light is always used in Virtual visit mode, to avoid rendering issues. You can add your own lights if you want more light (make them very wide to get soft effect on shadows).I if the sun is really bright, things in the shadow are very dark, darker than in real-life. What did you feel was missing in the help page about photo creation?---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: light power in Lumen and "ambient light" for the sun This would be not useful for the program with the current renderer. thats pity :(You can add your own lights if you want more light that is a workaround, but not very good... you have to add many lights at a huge building to simulate a ambient light. What did you feel was missing in the help page about photo creation? I mean what algorithm is used. It seams to be Raytracing or eventually Photonmapping. but i cant find the Code, so i can't decide.but with the link I found it. thanks :) |
