Dimensions and walls drawing Newbie here... I am drawing walls, default thickness. I measured the real room INTERNAL dimensions, but as far as I understand when drawing a wall the dimension refers to the CENTER of it, so how to draw walls in such a way that the resulting internal dimensions correspond to the real ones ? Hope I've been clear enough. Thanks ---------------------------------------- www.stevegalante.com |

Re: Dimensions and walls drawing Your observation is right: walls are measured from their middle. As soon as you allow the user to draw more than one room in the plan, it would be difficult to measure an other way. But if you want to work with the dimensions of the room, you can draw the room first with the Room creation tool then switch to the Wall creation tool and double-click in the room to create walls around it. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
