blender > applying textures and exporting it successfully?
I know this is not a Blender forum but I'm facing lots of challenges with applying different textures to objects like for instance a chair that needs a silk texture but a wooden arm rest. (I wish I could do it within sh3d)

I spent already 40 hours trying to understand blender ( watching tutorials and reading manuals and trial and error) - still the only thing I'm able to achieve is adding textures and rendering them BUT I can't export an object that keeps the new textures. I only get grey models.

I have the feeling it's just a tiny step for me but I fear spending another 40 hrs to figure it out myself.

Maybe it's easy and someone can help me getting there.

Thanks Thomas

Ensure that Materials, UVs and Normals options are selected in the OBJ Export options.
Selecting Material Groups is probably better too.

Hope this will help smile

Still no success. Another issue might be that the object is also grey in object mode and in texture mode. Hmm.
