How to: Create HQ images with Blender Hello, I read the articles about exporting a home to obj-Format and importing that with Blender - this works so far. But unfortunately, I am new to Blender and so, I am a "little bit" confused and helpless, so I am asking for some hints to get Blender render my house. I know that I should ask in a Blender forum, but as many of you are posting great pictures, I am hoping that maybe somebody could explain a short "How To". After importing the obj file in Blender, I see.... nothing more than the default sample cube. Clicking view > toggle quad view, I get the top/front/right view, so my model was imported, but the key problem is: how can I change the camera angle? I tried ctrl-alt-0 to set the current view to the active camera, but I just an empty page as a rendered result. In addition, when I rotate the 3D model, strange artefacts are displayed, and the model seems to be cut off several edges or some walls get transparent, which changes when rotating. Really strange. Maybe somebody can help? Thanks! Heiko |

Re: How to: Create HQ images with Blender Even if you may find a few users here that knows Blender, I guess you'll get faster some information on a Blender forum. By the way, even if I know the photo creation tool isn't perfect, why do you prefer to try with Blender? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: How to: Create HQ images with Blender Even if you may find a few users here that knows Blender, I guess you'll get faster some information on a Blender forum. By the way, even if I know the photo creation tool isn't perfect, why do you prefer to try with Blender? I tried the PhotoCreation tool, but it does not work (the preview pane is empty, although the 3D view is ok and the "normal" photo creation works). The quality of the Blender-rendered pictures is amazing, so of course I would like to see what my own house will look like (especially when trying out different textures for walls and floors...) Still hoping :) |
