Copying homes Hi *, I created a few homes on my other computer and then copied the sh3d-files to my laptop so I can continue to work on them. Unfortunately this does not seem to work. All furniture is basically gone (apart from their position and a red X on each of it). Also I am not able to save these homes. A quick scan through the sh3d-files reveales that the original path is part of the file. Recreating that user with the correct path does not work either. Does anybody know what I need to do in order to transfer homes to another computer and/or how I can start using the ones I copied to my laptop? Tks Rob |

Re: Copying homes SH3D files are fully portable (from a computer to another and across operating systems) and you just have to ensure your files were correctly copied. For example, compare the size in bytes of the original files with the size of the copied file. They're probably different in your case. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Copying homes Hi Emmanuel, I would have thought so that these files are portable. Anything else would not have made any sense. I just received the files again per mail and I had the same problem. Comparing sizes revealed that the mailer seems to inflate the file by 1 byte. After a direct download everything works fine. Bl... mailer. Tks Rob |
