Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) Hi Forum! I´ve tried to install the Sweet Home 3D Viewer (Version 3.0 and later on 3.1) on my V-Server,copied the whole content of the ZIP-file in a subdirectory, modified the html-file to my needs (i.e. inserted the proper url for the sh3d file i wanted to use) and tried to call the url in different browsers on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit, opensuse 11.2 32 and 64 Bit and nowhere came a view to my construction. Under linux it tried to load and load and load and after 2 Days wating it tries to keep on loading. On the Windows-Client i could at least get some infos on the Java-Errorconsole as following: As i am not a Progger but only a Networkadmin i don´t knwo where to fix this errors. Is there something missing inside the server-hosted .jar Files or do i need some additional stuff on the clients? In last case, what should i search for to install on the clients in order to fix this issue? (In first case the downloadable Files should be updated and i will retry then)Thanks in advance, Tom ---------------------------------------- "The social dynamics of the net are a direct consequence of the fact that nobody has yet developed a Remote Strangulation Protocol." -- Larry Wall |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) This error is probably due to a missing java3d.jar library among the archives of the applet. Maybe you didn't copy them on the server or you changed their path or the codebase. If possible, try to make it run on your own machine first before trying it on a server. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) I already had put the files in a subdirectory /sh3d and the lib/ subdirectory within all its content additional to ./lib in the Document root directory of my Webserver...should i put the lib Directorycontent from the zip-file also in the /lib of the server itself instead of the Document root of the Webserver? ---------------------------------------- "The social dynamics of the net are a direct consequence of the fact that nobody has yet developed a Remote Strangulation Protocol." -- Larry Wall |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) How big is the sh3d file you try to show? Are you sure it's accessible on your server (can you download it directly by entering its URL in a browser)? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) Thanks for helping. The file is 180k, and yes if I browse to the file it will ask me if I want to download it.. Just to make sure, I've got it right - the file structure is: 3d.html,the sh3d file and the 'lib' folder (with all its contents) at the same level. I copied the whole lib file folder. The url is: http://www.onehouseoneyear.com/SweetHome/3d.html in case you'd try it out. |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) Sorry for my late reaction. Same here,i copied also the whole content of the downloaded .zip fileinto one Directory, modified the .html File as neccesary and placed the .sh3d File in the same Directory which contains the content of the .zip Archive. The size of my .sh3d File is roundabout 3 Mbyte and should be Accessible under http://www.schattentorwelten.de/sh3d/Dachwohnung.sh3d whre the Viewerpage should be accessible (if iot would run as expected instead of producing the above named Errors) under http://www.schattentorwelten.de/sh3d/3DView.html Btw. Does size really matter? *scnr*---------------------------------------- "The social dynamics of the net are a direct consequence of the fact that nobody has yet developed a Remote Strangulation Protocol." -- Larry Wall |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) Hi, Same problem for me : java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no j3dcore-ogl-chk in java.library.path I juste apply the readme with a very little example of sh3dfile. I test to rename SweetHome3DViewer\lib\windows\i386\java3d.jar to see if it was a problem in the jar or in the path. The error is different, so it seems that the filepatch is good... An external requirement file for java3D ? |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) Sorry guys, I just tried the version 3.1 of Sweet Home 3D Viewer and discovered some files are missing in that version. Until a new version is released, please use version 3.0, or build your own version with the Ant task named "viewer" from the source code in available in CVS where I committed the bug fix. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) Hmseems to work now,but needs a really long time to load und needs additional a click into the applet to show up the romms now...but even better than nothing unless errors ![]() I don' t know why the former try of the 3.0 release didn' t want to work before, perhaps something went wrong in the unpacking of the zip...and perhaps there might be a performanceboost in a future version without needing an initial click? Nevertheless i will try to build a kind of Integrationway für my Drupal-CMS now where i have a working version...maybe as a set of Pagecode and Userprofilefield, because thats easier than building a module and i' m not a programmer as formerly mentioned *G*..(and then, when this wil work, i will release it here also)---------------------------------------- "The social dynamics of the net are a direct consequence of the fact that nobody has yet developed a Remote Strangulation Protocol." -- Larry Wall |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) Sorry there's still a problem in version 3.2 of the viewer under Windows. I fixed it but you should still use version 3.0 till next version is released. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) I acquired a digital signature yesterday to sign the JAR files of the Java Web Start, Online and Viewer versions, and updated the JAR files hosted on sweethome3d.com web server and released a version 3.2.1 that fixes the bug fix in the viewer. As installers didn't change, I didn't release a source code archive to avoid too much confusion for users visiting files list on SourrceForge.net. But if required you can download them with CVS and the V_3_2_1 tag as explained in Sweet Home 3D README.TXT file. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Problem with Sweet Home 3D Viewer (3.0 and 3.1) Now it works with the 3.3 Version of the Viewer...but theres one funny(?) thing which might be a bit irritating: When i view the page withing Windows 7 under Firefox 5.0.1 or any other Browser it shows up the result as expected, when i view it within Linux (opensuse 11.3) under seamonkey or firefox, i will first have to click once inside the appplets resultframe and then it shows up the result, otherwise the applet would show me only a gray frame instead of the view to the created rooms... Perhaqps is this last issue depending a bit on the used java Version? I use java-1_6_0-sun-1.6.0.u26-0.2.1.i586 on my opensuse linux clientsystem (i just ran all updates today from within my package-managementsystem and this was not updated) When i figure out where the CMS Drupal 6.x (which i use on several Websites) searches for the Viewers Libraryfiles, i will publish a little Demo-Pagesourcecode for integrating the Viewer in Drupal-pages here, but actually drupal seems to ignore the given urls inside the applet-calling pagecode and seems to search in several wrong places for it ;) ---------------------------------------- "The social dynamics of the net are a direct consequence of the fact that nobody has yet developed a Remote Strangulation Protocol." -- Larry Wall |
