a question about textures, how to make 1 to 1 Hello all, Another question from a newbie again. So i am trying to make a painting object, and decided to do that by importing an .obj rectangle and changing it's texture. However, even though I set the texture to be the same size as the object, it scrambles it into 4 quarters so that it no longer is an image (which makes sense for textures, but not if you need it to be an image). Is there a better way to do this? Thanks again for the help on this forum. |

Re: a question about textures, how to make 1 to 1 Joyce, That same question has been asked and answered before. Question is, do >I< look for it, or will you do it yourself? Hans Hint: There's not yet a solution. Try imporing a texture that fits pixel-4-pixel the box where you apply it to. ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: a question about textures, how to make 1 to 1 I got it! It was just a question of putting all this new information together. I kept thinking a "wall" had to be a "wall" and not just another 3d object or something....I was trying to do it in other cad programs to import to sweet home, which is hindsight doesn't make a lot of sense. For anyone else who might be searching for this in the future: In a new file, make a wall and modify to exactly the dimensions of your object, if you then import the texture and size it 1:1 it will be 1 to 1 and not get all wonky. THEN export it as a .obj! Really sorry to bother you all with all these questions, all the hints and stuff have been helpful though. |
