Error texture? Hello everyone, I would like to create a rendering of my home floor plan, but I’m not an expert. Unfortunately, I can’t manage to get a good-looking parquet floor. I’m attaching the rendering I made and another one I downloaded from the web. Does the poor result depend on the texture file? I also downloaded a 4K texture from the web, but without much success. When I try to load 8K files, Sweet Home 3D freezes and only shows the loading clock. Maybe my PC can’t handle it. Could you please give me some advice? Windows, ram 16gb, Thank you very much. |

Re: Error texture? You shouldn't need a stupidly large texture, as long as it is properly seamlessly tiled. More importantly when I look at your images it looks like you have not set an appropriate scale for the texture. As a result the texture detail is drawn far too small. This is why it looks bad. Select the room, then Ctrl+Alt+E to modify the room. In the Floor section where there is the texture, click the texture to edit it. Now edit the scale %. Just keep increasing it until the texture looks nicely scaled in the plan view. Unfortunately there is no preview, so you have to change the value and "OK" out of the dialog to check. As an increment I would go up in +100 % at a time. |
