Request: Inner court Good morning and greetings to all. I have recently started to use this software I need to know how to insert an inner court inside a building. It is basically a “cavedium,” an empty space between floors. Through the glass windows you can see the lower and upper floors. How is it possible to create the effect of “void”? I tried searching but could not find a solution. Regards Fabio ---------------------------------------- Fabio |

Re: Request: Inner court What you describe is an empty room without a ceiling. Add a room in the empty space and switch off 'display ceiling" in the room properties dialog. If there are more levels do the same on each level. This will leave the an open space to the sky. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |

Hello, the apartment is on the second floor so what I need is switch off the floor in addition to the ceiling Regards Fabio ---------------------------------------- Fabio |

Re: Request: Inner court No room in the empty space = no floor and no ceiling A room in the empty space = a floor and no ceiling (if 'display ceiling' is switched off) So on the first level you draw a room in the empty space. This gives it a floor and a ceiling. On the second level you also draw a room but with 'display ceiling' switched off. This gives it a floor but no ceiling. Now there is a 'normal' room on the first level and an empty space with a floor on the second level. Without a room drawn on the second level you would look down to the floor of the first level. A ceiling is to see a ceiling from within the room, it is not a floor for the level above it. If you want an open court from level 0 on up you only draw a room on level 0 and switch 'display ceiling' off. ---------------------------------------- Dodecagon.nl 1300+ 3D models, manuals, and projects |
