How do you get things to line up!!!??? OK. I just downloaded this to try it out after I saw an article about it on Lifehacker. Can some kind soul please tell me how you get anything to line up in this program???!!! Every time a draw a new wall that is connected to an existing wall, it is always off by like an inch or two so nothing ever lines up. If you added something to "snap" to previously drawn objects (like other CAD programs do) it would make your software much, much easier to use. And do I really have to keep adding (or subtracting) 3 or 6 inches to everything to get the correct size of a room? Can't I just say "I wan't this room to be 10 feet by 12 feet" and have the program figure out how to draw the walls? Rooms are ALWAYS measured by inside dimensions, I do not care how big the room is INCLUDING the wall thickness! |

Re: How do you get things to line up!!!??? I thought I read the manual pretty well, I don't remember finding anything about how to measure any other way than on the center of the wall? |

Re: How do you get things to line up!!!??? Here's the trick if you have only one room: draw a room first with Create rooms tool then choose Create walls tools and double-click in the room you created : this will create walls outside that room. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
