Scale settings: I need 1 inch = 10 feetHi there, This is probably a dumb question, but I was wondering about the scale option in the page set up. I need to be able to print my floor plan to a scale of 1" = 10' Is this as simple as typing in a 10 in the set scale option (Set scale to: 1/__ )? I wasn't sure what the 1 was referring to. Thanks, Doon |

Re: Scale settings: I need 1 inch = 10 feet Doon, I did a quick test. I drew some 100x100 inch walls, then printed them at a scale set 1:100, and measured the result. It's a square measuring 1x1 inch. Now there are 100x12 inches in 100 feet, so you would have to set the scale to 1:00. Hope that helps. Re: Scale settings: I need 1 inch = 10 feet Inch and foot are different units! You must compare comparable things to set the scale. ![]() If you want that 1 inch on printed paper = 10 feet in real world, you have to set a scale of 1/120 because 1 inch on printed paper = 10 x 12 = 120 inches in real world. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Scale settings: I need 1 inch = 10 feet Ok, so that makes sense. So, for a scale of: 1/8 inch = 1 foot would mean...? I'm sorry for being so dense about this. |

Re: Scale settings: I need 1 inch = 10 feet Start thinking in inches!! As you may know, there are 12 inch to 1 foot. So if you want 1/8" to 1' then - you really want 1/8" to 12", so - multiply by 8, and - the result is 1" to 96" So would you would have to fill in 1:96. Think you can work it out now?
