Real time sun shadows YafaRay works pretty fast now, and that's great. But still i'm curious if it's possible to have very rudimentary shadows (something like in SketchUp?) -just simple geometrical shapes, visible in real time in the 3Dview window. With a slide for date/time to discover how shadows interact with the space during the day. Ignoring all the artificial light sources, since that only adds in complexity serving not much practical purpose. |

Re: Real time sun shadows It should be possible using shadow mapping but I never tried programming such a shader and don't know if it's so easy from Java 3D. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
