virtual visit suggestions In virtual visit mode: Suggestion 1: honor physical boundaries (e.g., if I reach a wall, it should stop and require me to find a door). Suggestion 2: ability to "strafe" (i.e., to step left or right, while still looking forward). Suggestion 3: ability to select an item, and move or edit it. Cheers, D |

Re: virtual visit suggestions In case anyone is interested, I just downloaded the source code a little while ago, and added strafing (the ability to move left and right, while still looking forward). I also made rotating the camera a little less jerky. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, by committing my changes to the sourceforge repository, so if anyone's interested in my tweaks, let me know. These changes were accomplished with relatively minor changes to HomeComponent3D.java. If you're not an engineer, I'll be happy to send you an executable. (I'm on Linux, so I'm not sure if the executable JAR will work on Windows or Mac. But if somebody wants to try it, I'll compile it and put it on my website.) Also, if Emmanuel Puybaret (or whoever is currently working on this project) wants to incorporate my changes into the CVS truck, let me know. D |

Re: virtual visit suggestions … I end up having to jump back into 2d view all the time to move left and right. |

Re: virtual visit suggestions you are right flamenkito. suggestion 1 & 2 are really important for me as i told in another thread and i really want to have them. but i thing the first one isn't easy to create and i hope some one help us and develop your project to build that. and if you can share your app. or if you can compile it as plug-ins to work for any version correctly. thanks you |
