unable to convert plan to .svg using sweerhome3d 6.5.2 on centos 7 Hi System Info ------------- $ cat /etc/centos-release$ uname -a$ java -version$ javaws -version---------------------------------------------- I downloaded SweetHome3D.jnlp and used the command: $ javaws SweetHome3D.jnlpto open it. This seemed to work OK, but when I open a .sh3d file and try to convert it to svg format by going to: Plan->Export to SVG format ...It does not do anything. "Export to SVG format ..." does not highlight. If I install the same sweet home version on a windows 10 machine I can export to .svg fine. Would anyone have any idea why this might not work on a centos 7 machine ? Is this the correct way to run swwet home on linux (using the .jnlp file), or do I need to download a different file ? |

Re: unable to convert plan to .svg using sweerhome3d 6.5.2 on centos 7 Ok. Initially I was running as root which it seems did enough to open the app, but when I tried running as a normal user it was unable to start - various exceptions thrown by java, so I guess javaws is not the way to go. (Not really sure what javaws is, but it looked like it was trying to run using a web browser). I've installed snap and will try to install sweethome using that. |

Re: unable to convert plan to .svg using sweerhome3d 6.5.2 on centos 7 Why not trying the official version available at SourceForge.net? It contains two scripts to launch Sweet Home 3D: SweetHome3D and SweetHome3D-Java3D-1_5_2 which should work if the first one doesn't. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
